12Play esports betting: Dota 2, League of Legends, Valorant, CS2 and Mobile Legends, live and pre-match

Our esports board runs on five titles: Dota 2, League of Legends, Valorant, CS2 and Mobile Legends. Every match is priced before it starts and again while it is being played, so you can take an opening number or wait until the first map tells you something about the two rosters. The coupon goes well past the winner, with map and round winners, handicaps, totals, in-game props and tournament outrights. Odds are shown in decimal, and stakes and returns are settled in your account currency.

Games on the board

Esports has its own section in the wider lobby line-up, separate from the sports coupon, although the two share one welcome choice and one set of odds rules. The depth of a market depends on the tournament: a major international event usually carries the longest list of props, while smaller regional fixtures may be limited to the winner, the map line and totals.

Dota 2 betting

Dota 2 series are normally best of three, with best of five reserved for finals, so most pricing is built around map scores rather than a single result. Objectives are part of the betting language here: the first Roshan kill and first blood are standard in-game markets across the discipline.

League of Legends

League matches are decided map by map, and in general the Baron and the first tower are the two objectives most often turned into side markets. Best of one group stages behave very differently from best of five play-offs, because a single draft or one early mistake can settle the whole bet.

Valorant betting

Valorant is round-based, so the interesting lines sit on round handicaps and round totals rather than long series prices. Map pools matter, since teams practise a narrow set of maps, and overtime rules can push a map past the total you backed.

CS2

CS2 shares that round structure, with pistol rounds and the half-time side switch creating the sharpest swings in live pricing. Totals are usually quoted per map, which is why the same team can clear a handicap and still lose a totals bet.

Mobile Legends betting

Mobile Legends games are short compared with the PC titles, so series are decided quickly and live odds update at speed. Objective props follow the same logic as the other MOBAs, built around early kills and map control.

12Play esports betting markets, line by line

Esports betting at 12Play uses the same market families across all five titles, with the labels adjusted to each game. The table below sets out what each selection needs in order to win.

MarketWhat must happen
Match winnerYour team wins the series, whatever the map score
Map or round winnerYour team wins the named map, or the named round
Handicap -1.5 mapsYour team wins the series 2-0 in a best of three
Handicap +1.5 mapsYour team wins the series or loses it 2-1
TotalsTotal maps, rounds or kills finish over or under the quoted line
First BloodYour team takes the first kill of the map
First TowerYour team destroys the first tower of the map
Roshan or BaronYour team secures that objective first
OutrightYour team wins the tournament, settled at the end of the event

Measured on maps

Check whether a market counts maps, rounds or kills before you pick. A -1.5 line on maps and a -1.5 line on rounds ask for completely different results from the same team.

Props such as First Blood and First Tower settle within minutes of a map starting, which makes them useful if you want a short decision rather than a full series. Outrights work the other way: they tie your stake up until the trophy is handed over, and they are priced on the whole field, so a longer number is not the same as a better bet.

12Play esports markets explained: what each market measures

Pre-match or live

Pre-match prices give you time to compare rosters, recent form and the map pool before the first draft. Live odds reward reading the game itself, because the market reprices after every pistol round, every tower and every objective. A team that drops the opening map in a best of three will usually be available at a longer number than it was an hour earlier.

Two practical points apply in both modes:

  • A confirmed bet cannot be cancelled, so check the market, the line and the stake before you submit it.
  • Live markets suspend during key moments and reopen at a new price, which is normal and not an error.

If you are new to in-play esports, start on one title you watch regularly. Following five live coupons at once is how stakes get placed on lines nobody has read.

Decimal odds and the 1.50 floor

All esports prices are decimal, which means the number already includes your stake. A S$20 bet at 1.80 returns S$36 in total: S$16 of that is profit. Multiply the stake by the odds and you have the full return, with no conversion needed.

That number also decides whether a bet counts toward a bonus. Bets at decimal odds below 1.50 are excluded from turnover, so a run of heavy favourites at 1.30 can leave a balance looking active while the requirement has barely moved. If you are clearing a bonus, keep your selections at 1.50 or higher and treat anything shorter as a bet you are placing purely for its own sake.

The relevant offer here is the 150% sports and esports welcome, which pays up to S$300 on a first deposit of S$50 or more and carries x10 turnover on deposit plus bonus. Deposit S$200 and the 150% match adds S$300, giving a S$500 base and S$5,000 in qualifying bets to place. One welcome per account, and every one of those S$5,000 has to be struck at 1.50 or above to be counted.

Five titles, pre-match and live, with the full market list on every major fixture.

Questions players ask

Which esports titles can I bet on?

Five titles are priced on our esports board: Dota 2, League of Legends, Valorant, CS2 and Mobile Legends. Each is offered both before the match starts and while it is running.

Can I bet while a match is in progress?

Yes. Live odds are published alongside pre-match prices and move as maps and rounds are decided. Once a bet is confirmed it cannot be cancelled, so check the stake and the market before you submit it.

What is a map handicap?

A map handicap adjusts the series score before settlement. At -1.5 maps your side must win the series 2-0 in a best of three; at +1.5 maps it can lose one map and the bet still stands. Always check whether the line counts maps, rounds or kills.

Does the sports welcome cover esports betting?

It does. The 150% Sports and Esports Welcome pays up to S$300 on a first deposit of S$50 or more, with x10 turnover on deposit plus bonus. Only bets at decimal odds of 1.50 or higher count toward that turnover.
